The two survivors who stand on top of the bunker itself will be separated and moved to the far edge of the screen as it opens, so try to rescue them as fast as possible.ħth, 8th and 9th survivors: the first one stands next to the first two Plasma Cannon Turrets on the left, while the others stand as a group in the middle on top of a bridge.ġ0th, 11th and 12th survivors: one of them stands on the far right side behind a Plasma Cannon Turret while the remaining two stands to the left side as a group on top of a bridge.
They share the same stone platform with two Supercharged Mantis Cannon Turrets.ģrd - 6th survivors: located in the middle of the screen as a group, near the underground bunker which opened up to reveal the Laser Drones. At the same time, the Nightmare Difficulty will be unlocked for all Stages that are perfected on Normal, Hard and Insane. With all of them shooting lasers in multiple directions simultaneously, it effectively forms a wall of instant destruction (Note that those lasers can shatter an active Energy Shield). Often with powerful Planes like the Gladius, Octopus or The Classic with its Laser Whip, the Drones can be instantly finished off with a blast of an MWS module supercharge, before they even begin to attack. The Laser Drones are also what hinders a successful run to the end of the Stage.This suggests a reason for the Stage wielding a lot of Stars. With Drones replacing Prop Planes as the prevalent flying enemies, they are a lot more durable and without a well-upgraded Plane, they take longer to destroy.Using an Energy Shield to cut through unharmed or Mega Bombs to blow them away is a good technique, but otherwise, damage to your Plane can be serious. Several of the enemies in this Stage discharge a ring/radial swarm of projectiles upon their destruction (Supercharged Mantis Cannons, Energized Spider Railguns and Volatile Drones).This Stage marks the first appearance of Omega's territory with new futuristic enemy rolling stock, consisting of the vast majority of those enemies.The high rate of fire of the mounted guns might create walls of bullets spraying at your location when the Boss swerve from side to side. In tougher modes, the cockpit turret fires relentlessly for longer intervals, giving very little pause for your Plane to hover around. When all 5 weapons are stripped, the gunship can be obliterated. Once you clear them out, the turret will be open for your picking. It is advisable to start with the mounted guns, as their destruction thins down the amount of gunfire boxing you in. If you find yourself overwhelmed or getting cornered by gunfire, circle around the entire gunship to its other side. The only minor inconvenience of the battle is the turret that will hinder your attempts to stay in one place. It has no other pattern and continues to attack this way. Its 4 mounted guns fire together, then fire again, this time with the cockpit turret.
At the moment of entry the cockpit turret is vulnerable, allowing you to deal some early damage before it begins attacking you. Twisted Vengeance swoops in from the bottom right. The cockpit turret tracks your Plane, and fires at it in medium chain of low-damaging gunfire.They fire the same projectiles as tank cannons and has a considerable cooldown after firing 3 barrages. Each wing houses 2x of these guns on each side and shoot thrice in a row, resulting in a barrage of 6 bullets. These forward firing guns only shoot straight ahead in intervals.It is well-armored all around from cockpit to tail, giving it its size. Twisted Vengeance has a very simple design: it's just a regular helicopter gunship with six blades and armed moderately with only gun turrets, located under its two wings.
